The 2011 Emmy nominations were just recently announced along with the location of the TV awards show at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Hollywood, California. All the regular big players will be on hand with various nominations including Glee, 30 Rock, The Office, Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. One big surprise was the new HBO show Game of Thrones, which is nominated in the Drama Series category. Game of Thrones is actually in it’s first season. And a few good categories to look out for include Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie, which pins Kate Winslet head to head with Diane Lane. The Male part of the category may have even stiffer competition with Greg Kaneer, Barry Pepper, William Hurt and Laurence Fishburne all competing for the award. It should be a good one, so tune in. The 63rd Emmy Awards will be televised live on Fox, September 19, 2011 at 8pm Eastern.
